What Does a scallop look like and how do you eat it?

Scallops are amongst the most prized ocean caught, fresh seafood in the world. what do they look like on the inside and how do you get them ready to eat?

These scallops were caught during a scuba dive in San Diego California by local divers using hands free dive lights and a dive knife to pry them away from the rocks.

Scallops can swim using a jet of water that is created when the shell opens and closes. Because they can swim, the muscles inside build up much faster than other shellfish.

Scallops can have up to 100 simple eyes that help them detect patterns, light and motion.

Cooking

Pan Cook With Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, and Fresh Garlic On Medium To High Heat For 3-7 Minutes or Until it is Completely White All The Way Through.

Never Take More Scallops Then You Need When Diving. Be aware of the animals and life around the scallop and the amount of scallops living in one area. Do Not Keep Small Scallops. (DNKSS)

Fish Tornado. A huge school of jack tuna gather together for a ritual every year down in Mexico. This famous photograph has had a lot of talk about its validity. This video is from the photographers themselves.
